Bronte Sisters Book Covers
Objective
Create three book covers for three books written by the same author. The styling of the book covers should match one another as if they were part of a set of books.
Deliverables
3 Book Covers
Solution
Though the books I selected where not all by the same author, the books are the different Bronte sisters, Anne, Emily, Charlotte. Each sister wrote a famous classical novel, Anne note The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Emily Wuthering Heights and Charlotte Jane Eyre. Each of these three novels had some type of scandal within their pages, thus I decided to base them off of British tabloids. Yet I made the photographs look like Victorian engravings to match the tone and time period of when the books where written.

Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre is a sober book about an orphaned young girl Jane. The blue is to represent the sadness and coldness of Jane's personality.

Wuthering Heights
The color red presents passion. The passion that the character of Heathcliff feels for his beloved Catherine and the turmoil of emotions he feels when she marries someone else though she loves him then later dies, leaving him a sad, desperate man.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall
Usually British tabloids use reds, blues and yellows to color the major headlines, however yellow did not show up well. So to capture the unusualness of the character of Mrs Helen Graham who comes to Wildfell Hall so suddenly, I chose the color orange.
