Toy
Solution
The toy I chose was six different colored cat plushes. The initial idea was around the ‘Crazy Cat Lady’, how people usually keep more than one cat as a pet. However I began to examine the point of the view of the cats. Surely the cats would feel trapped living in a home with multiple cats, much like a jail. So I decided that the package would look like a jail with each cat having committed a crime. The wanted poster on the back describes who each cat is and their crime. Each cat is dressed in an old fashion hat and ball and chain show they are all in jail.
The Logo

This is the logo that I thought would be funny for a toy company since most toy companies try to be cute but I am trying to create a toy company that is funny and satirical!
The Jail bags

I called the piece 'Al-Cat-Traz' as a play-on words from the famous prison Alcatraz since the cats see being in a cat lady's bag as a prison.

Each cat is charged with a crime that is seen amongst a household of multiple cats.

The Prisoners
Each cat is given an old school prison stripped hat and a collar marked with their prisoner number much like how modern prisoners have their prisoner numbers on their uniforms.

Shopping Bags
The shopping bags will feature the wanted poster of each of the cats as a special take home for customers of the toy and as a way of promoting the toy.

merchandise
T-shirts are something that be a special offer if you buy more than two cats or the shirts can be sold separately.
